Kris started training in Martial arts in 1986, under Sensei Bob Si'ree Shukokai Karate. Kris represented various clubs across the north of England in competition in many different forms of Karate, Kyokushin, Freestyle Karate and Kick-boxing. After University Kris moved to London and once again joined a London Karate club. Longing for competition and to try out Muay Thai Kris walked into KO, and the rest is history.
Kris has his focus on technique and if anybody can teach you to drop the bad habits of another Martial art it is him. Under the training of Kru David, Kris progressed quickly until trained by Master Kru Bill, and Kru Vinny. Both Kru's recognised that Kris had to completely remodel his stance, shape, strikes and balance if he was to progress further. Kris took all aspects of his Thai training back to complete basics and then began to progress at a rapid rate, under the supervision of Kru David, Kru Vinny, Master Kru Bill and a number of the KO Fighters. Eventually Kris dropped the habits of other styles of martial art, and became a skilled Muay Thai amateur level fighter. Master Kru Bill then approached Kris to become an apprentice Kru at the club focussed on developing intro and general level students, it became clear that Kris' real strength was in teaching technique. Kris has taught at KO for over two years and plans to re-enter the ring injury permitting.
Kris now heads up the KO North London gym with his trusty team of high level coaches, Kru Alex and Kru Hallam.
